The Clio Cup, which has been at the forefront of single-make cups since 1991, revealed its 2023 calendar. The season will start at Nogaro (8-10 April) and end in Barcelona (11-12 November) with the coronation of the Clio Cup Series super-winner, but also various contenders in Clio Cup Europe, Clio Cup France, Clio Cup España, Clio Cup Italia and Clio Cup Mid Europe !

With decades of experience since the creation of the R8 Gordini Cup in 1966, Viry-Châtillon’s customer racing department has maintained the fundamentals of a proven recipe for success by bringing together over 100 drivers in 2021 and 2022.

In 2023, the Clio Cup Series will consist of 13 meetings on the most renowned European circuits alongside headliners series. Competitors will have the opportunity to compete at ten tracks that have previously hosted Formula 1 Grands Prix, including Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) and the Nürburgring (Germany), which return to the calendar.

As in 2022, Clio Cup Europe will consist of nine rounds and 18 races for the most ambitious protagonists. Only the 16 best results will determine Anthony Jurado’s successor. Meanwhile, the Clio Cup France, Clio Cup Italia, Clio Cup España, and Clio Cup Mid Europe regional groups will comprise five to six rounds (ten to twelve races) with carefully devised and crossed calendars to guarantee ever more competitive and spectacular fields.

Each meeting will therefore continue to have distinct classifications - with competitors only eligible for points in a maximum of two groups, including Clio Cup Europe - to allow contenders in each series to compete directly against their main rivals. There will still be three categories : General, Challengers and Racers - the new designation for the former Gentlemen Drivers Cup.

With the support of long-time partners Castrol, Michelin and Sabelt, the Clio Cup will offer more than €270,000 in prize money, plus a brand-new Clio Cup for the Clio Cup Europe winner. In addition, competitors will continue to be entitled to a range of products and services included in their entry.

Entry fees range from €1,600 ex VAT per event to €12,500 ex VAT for the complete season, including all 13 rounds. Packages to compete in one or two regional groups range from €6,700 to €12,000, excluding VAT.
