First R.S. Days of 2019 roars off the grid at Silverstone

The first of the R.S. Days of 2019 was held at the legendary Silverstone race track over the weekend of May 11 & 12. The English weather was at its best, delivering two days of glorious sunshine under the most photogenic of skies.

Around 500 Renault Sport fan gathered to celebrate the brand, while watching two exciting rounds of Formula Renault Eurocup and mingling with the teams before they all move on to Monte Carlo to support the Monaco Grand Prix.

As well as the action on track and in the pits, Renault Sport fans were able to admire a series of legendary Renault cars from days gone by. These included a 1990 Renault 5 GT Turbo, 1993 Renault Clio Williams, 1997 Renault Spider, 2005 Renault Clio V6 255, 2008 Renault Mégane R26.R, and 2014 Renault Mégane R.S. 275 Trophy-R.

In addition, the Renault Sport Village Club allowed 100 owners to showcase their own Renault Sport Classic, R.S., GT and GT-Line models, both in the Village Club and in a parade around the race circuit.

The Drive Experience was also packed, with 115 specially invited guests – customers and potential customers – taking the new Mégane R.S. Trophy for a test drive.

Some 26 guests were also able to take the latest Mégane R.S. Trophy for a spin around this home of the British Grand Prix.

In the Renault Sport Centre, experts were on hand to answer questions about every aspect of the brand. Several new Renault and Renault Sport models were exhibited alongside an F1 car with the 2019 Renault F1 Team design on.

Fans could even drive a race car, albeit it a realistic simulator, and enjoy an after-race cocktail on Saturday while mingling with some of the biggest Renault names.

With the latest R.S. Performance accessories range also on sale, drawing in fans throughout the day, it was a fantastic weekend in celebration of everything Renault.
