Two new members on the Renault Sport Cars Management Committee
In the wake of the appointment on 20 February of Robert BONETTO as Managing Director of Renault Sport Cars, Olivier GUINTRAND becomes Director of the Sport Premium Technical Department and Nicolas SEGOND, Director of Renault Sport Cars Sales and Communication.
On 20 February 2020, Robert Bonetto took over from Patrice Ratti as Chief Executive Officer of Renault Sport Cars. The Management Committee of Renault Sport Cars is also undergoing changes with two new first-rate appointments : Olivier GUINTRAND and Nicolas SEGOND.
Olivier GUINTRAND has become the new Director of Premium Sport Engineering at Renault Sport Cars, succeeding Thierry LANDREAU who had been in this position since 2009. Olivier is a Mechanical Engineer, a graduate of INSA Lyon. In a career spanning more than 30 years in industry, including 25 years at Renault, he has had the opportunity to hold positions in areas as varied as manufacturing, quality, logistics, purchasing and, for the past 15 years, engineering. He has acquired experience at various levels of responsibility both in projects (Master 2, Mégane 2, Mégane/Scénic 3 range) and in the business. Passionate about sports vehicles, Olivier had the opportunity to join Renault Sport in November 2014, in the Premium Sport Engineering Department, where he was able to work on the development of exceptional cars such as the Mégane 4 RS and the Alpine A110. After having been in charge of the Platform and Vehicle department, he took over as head of the Renault Sport Cars Premium Sport Engineering Department, as he explains :
The automobile will change profoundly over the next decade. The DISP has already started to prepare for this so that it can make the right choices and meet the technological challenges of tomorrow. I am aware of the scale of the task ahead in a particular context but remain resolutely optimistic. I know that I can count on teams whose skills - known and recognised far beyond Les Ulis - and passion are the best assets to build our future.

Nicolas SEGOND has become the new Director of Sales and Communication for Renault Sport Cars, succeeding Eric BERNARD who had been in this position since 2016. Nicolas holds a Master’s degree in Marketing and SME Management and has spent his entire career at Renault (22 years). From sales positions at Renault Retail Group, he moved to the Renault Service and Commercial Quality Department, then to the DCF (Project Manager on Tools and Methods), headed VN business development at Renault Retail Group, moved on to digital management. He then joined Renault Sport Cars as Manager France, before becoming Director of Sales and Communication for Renault Sport Cars. He explains his career path :
I'm passionate about cars and I consider myself a “Renault baby” which allowed me to fully enjoy my passion by fulfilling myself in all of the network's sales professions and projects over the past 22 years. As for any car enthusiast, Renault Sport is in a way the Holy Grail in terms of image and know-how. I am taking up my position in a difficult context where the image of motor sport is being shaken up by the anti-pollution standards, CAFE, and in a context of strong growth in the electric sector. It's time to step outside our frame of reference and to prepare, with the entire team of the Renault Sport Cars Sales and Communication Department, the future of RSC. This is an ambitious challenge with many blank pages to be written in a rapidly changing market.
