Round of 16 : Arnoux – Massa. Vote !

The Round of 16 to determine the Greatest Formula Renault Graduate ends today.

The last head-to-head in the Round of 16 sees René Arnoux facing off against Felipe Massa.

Voting is open for 24 hours just until Saturday May 23rd, 14:00 CET. The Round of 16 results and the Quarter-Finals pairings will be announced on Monday May 25th.

René Arnoux
Winner of the Formula Renault European Challenge in 1973, then the Super Formula Renault crown in 1975, René Arnoux made his F1 debut three years later. A key actor in the French Connection battling at the highest level of motorsport, he starred at Renault where a rivalry was born between Alain Prost and him. Third in the 1983 Formula 1 World Championship, he retired at the end of 1989 with seven victories, 18 pole positions and 22 podium finishes.

Felipe Massa
After climbing the karting ladder in Brazil at full speed, Felipe Massa spent two years in single-seater racing in his country before heading to Europe. He wasted little time in winning the Formula Renault Eurocup the year it officially became a spec-series. He also claimed the title in the Italian Championship that same season. Two years later, the São Paulo native debuted in F1, where he went on to win 11 times while missing out on the title in dramatic style to Lewis Hamilton in 2008.
