Renault Sport Cars won award from Evo Magazine
Renault Sport Cars has been named "Company of the past twenty years" by Evo, the leading monthly magazine dedicated to performance cars. Thierry Landreau, Renault Sport Cars’ Engineering Director, was in London on Wednesday evening to collect this prestigious award.
First published in 1998, the famous British automobile magazine Evo decided to celebrate its twentieth anniversary with a one-off awards ceremony, held in the UK capital.
Renault Sport Cars was one of the main award winners, praised for its work over the past twenty years on its super-minis and hot hatches, from the Clio V6 to New Mégane R.S., for its many technological innovations and for continuously responding to feedback from Evo Magazine and its readers.
"What makes Renault Sport a standout company for Evo is how it responds to new rivals and feedback from Evo and its readers," said Stuart Gallagher, Editor of Evo Magazine. "Where others would consider throwing in the towel, Renault Sport accepts every challenge."
"Like Evo, Renault Sport has grown a lot in the last twenty years," added Patrice Ratti, Managing Director of Renault Sport Cars. "Back in 1998, Clio V6 was unveiled to the public at the Paris Motor Show. Now, Renault Sport builds R.S. versions of Clio, Mégane, plus GT versions of Twingo and Mégane, as well as race versions and single-seaters in several successful formulae across the world. We know Evo readers are true car fans who appreciate the thrill of driving and as such, we value the magazine’s opinions greatly. We would like to thank Evo magazine for this fantastic award and we hope to continue challenging in the hot hatch segment for the next twenty years and beyond."
