R.S Days – Le Castellet
Renault will be on ‘home turf’ for the next edition of the super-popular R.S. Days as it rolls onto the next stop on the calendar : Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, just outside Marseille.
The course, which took over the mantle of home for the French GP from this year, was built in 1969 with finance from pastis magnate, Paul Ricard. It was previously the home of the French F1™ race for a number of years in the 1970s and 1980s. Renault is, of course, an official partner of the French Grand Prix and a long-standing national representative in high-level racing.
This year’s R.S. Days at the circuit will be held against the backdrop of the end-of-season classic, the finale of the FFSA French Championship, where the leading positions in several national disciplines will be decided.
Racing thrills aside, R.S. Days visitors will get to admire a number of Renault vehicles, including the all-new, record-breaking Mégane R.S. Trophy-R, as well as the Clio R.S. Line, Twingo Le Coq Sportif, Mégane GT-Line, Mégane R.S. and the F1™ show car.
Marque owners will be able to take advantage of driving on the course itself with the Track Sessions package, which allows 1hr 20 minutes around the 5.8km circuit in an open pitlane format. There are various time slots available throughout the day.

The Accompanying Driver package (two people max) allows a friend to jump in the car to experience time on the track and features such as the iconic Mistral straight and the Double-Droit du Beausset corner. Those without a car can also enjoy the R.S. Discover package, which offers trackside access and allows visitors to watch participating drivers.
Owners will also be able to display their own Renault Sport cars (R.S., GT, GT Line - unfortunately the new Alpine model cannot be displayed) in a specially reserved area, take part in an exclusive parade and mingle with fellow enthusiasts.
The Renault Sport Centre will allow people to relax and enjoy all the action in a dedicated space in the heart of the paddock, where there will be presentations from R.S. Experts, and the opportunity to meet the all-new Mégane R.S. Trophy-R.
Special features and events include the chance to meet F1™ Expert/Performance Optimising Manager, Nicolas Espesson, take part in Batak reaction tests, challenge other drivers on realistic simulators and pick up accessories at the R.S. Performance Shop.
Those visiting on Saturday will also get the chance to toast the day’s success and swap stories with an end-of-day cocktail. All-in-all, the weekend promises to be an unmissable event for any Renault Sport enthusiast.
