From the historic title for Clio Rally4 and Andréa Bénézet in the FIA Euro RX4 to further national crowns and regional victories for Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5, the range shone across all fronts this past weekend !
FIA European Rallycross Championship
Andréa Bénézet made history, becoming the inaugural FIA Euro RX4 Championship champions aboard Clio Rally4. The new entry-level category, based on Rally4 cars, provided a thrilling title decider. Following his rival’s success on Saturday, Andréa Bénézet kept his cool and did enough on Sunday to keep his fate in his own hands. The Eleven Motorsport driver got off to the best start in the decisive final before pacing himself to finish third and secure the title in Lousada (Portugal). Haotian Deng, the first Chinese driver to win a race in an FIA Rallycross Championship, and Albert Ako Kokk joined him on the season-ending podium, all with Clio Rally4.
Clio Trophy Spain Tierra
Tomás Llinares won for the third time this year to clinch the Clio Trophy Spain Tierra ahead of the season finale. After taking the lead on SS2 of Rally Blendio Princesa de Asturias Ciudad de Oviedo, the Alicante native and co-driver Alejandro Bonilla gradually increased the lead to maintain their unbeaten run this season. Jaime López - David de la Puente and Salvador España - Gema Cañero completed the podium and will battle for second place at Rallye Ciudad de Granada (31 October – 1st November).
Middle East Rally Championship
Clio Rally3 starred as the Rally of Lebanon kicked off the second half of the FIA MERC season. Rhea Dagher and co-driver Nadim Abou Elias won the MERC3 class at Jounieh, finishing sixth overall and securing a podium finish in the MERC championship. Alex Sehnaoui and Marvin Mezher secured a one-two finish for the model in its class. Meanwhile, Jason Wehbeh and Andre Mhanna took top honours in RC5 with Clio Rally5 while finishing third in MERC4, where Shadi El Fakih was crowned champion thanks to his two previous wins this season aboard Clio Rally5.
Brazilian Rally Championship
Renault made its mark once again in Brazil at Rally Rio Negrinho. Leandro Brustolin and Andrey Karpinski finished second overall and in class in their Clio Rally4 after contending for the win on the event’s gravel stages. Clio Rally5 also finished in the top five overall with Eduardo Tonial and Lucas Neumann. Both crews therefore remain in contention for the Rally 4 title ahead of the season finale at the Rally Nova Itália (16–18 October).
Greek and Bulgarian Rally Championships
At Rally DETH, Ioannis Konstantinidis and Dimitris Kyparissas led Clio Rally5 to victory on the Greek tarmac. They won RC5 on the roads around Thessaloniki, while also finishing third in the two-wheel drive category and sixth overall. Also competing as part of the Bulgarian championship, Petar Yordanov and Lyubka Yordanova finished in the overall top ten, securing a Clio Rally5 one-two finish in RC5 and third place overall on their national scene.
Hungarian Rally Championship
2025 Hungarian Two-Wheel-Drive Rally champions Csaba Viszló and Miklós Maricsek secured another victory in their Clio Rally3 at the Győr Rally. The pair achieved a clean sweep across the route’s eight tarmac special stages to take the RC3 class win and finish just outside the overall top ten. They are now back in contention for the class title, to be decided at the Zemplén Rally from 6 to 8 November.
Lithuanian Rally Championship
Clio Rally3 will enter the final round of the Lithuanian calendar at the top of the LARČ3 class. Although Artur Długosz and Mateusz Martynek missed out on the podium in their class for the first time this season, the Polish duo showed resilience on the gravel stages of Rally Elektrėnai to secure fourth place and the crucial points that come with it. The pair will therefore be in control of their own destiny at the season finale, the Lietuva Rally (2–3 October).
Portuguese Rally Championship
At Rali da Água, Afonso Seixas and Francisco Ponte took the RC5 honours on the tarmac with Clio Rally5. They also secured a top-ten finish in the two-wheel-drive category. Finishing sixth in the Juniors’ class, the crew also remain in the top three of the championship with three rounds remaining in the season. Meanwhile, the Spanish duo of Aitor Cota Vázquez and Diego Blanco Basalo drove their Clio Rally5 to victory in the Promo 2WD and P2-4 classes.
Slovakian Rally Championship
Clio Rally5 triumphed on the Slovak national scene at Rally Martin. Having already mathematically secured the class title, Stanislav Zeman and Ján Konfal recorded their sixth victory in as many rounds, while slipping in between two cars from the higher category on the two-wheel-drive podium. Also in contention for the two-wheel-drive title, Clio Rally4 was less successful as Tomáš Polovka and Daniel Turcsányi had an accident.
French Rally Cup
In France, Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 came out on top at Rallye de Lisieux Normandie with Guillaume Halbourg - Ludovic Gallier and Marius Bureau - Melvine Pitois. On the regional scene, both models also triumphed at Rallye des Noix de Firminy with Gérard Delorme - Sophie Bert and Thomas Santiago - Marine Van Outryve, as well as at Rallye du Grand Sénonais with Olivier Bordas - Romain Emery and Fabien Fayette - Charlotte Buliard. Lastly, Renault scored three class wins at Rallye du Chasselas with Jérémy Cenci - Carine Chauveau (Rally3), Laurent Zambon - Amélie Zambon (Rally4) and Arthur Pelamourgues - Paul Bernie (Rally5).
And elsewhere
The range showed no signs of letting up in Italy. At Rally Città di Schio, Leonardo Scalco and Mattia Toffano were victorious aboard their Clio Rally3, as were Andrea Zanon and Giuseppe Cogo in their Clio Rally5. The same double victory came at Rally Alto Appennino Bolognese for Giacomo Guglielmini - Andrea Sarti and Emanuele Gianotti - Valentino Lorenzini.
Clio Rally5 also shone in Belgium, with Olivier Maes and Cassandra Maene winning at the Short Rally van de Suikerstreek. The Belgian driver remains in title contention in the Flemish championship whilst moving closer to the crown in his class. And finally, Manuel Schneider and Marcel Eichenauer also won their class with Clio Rally5 at the ADMV Herkommer Kfz-Technik Rallye Grünhain (Germany).
