Customer Racing Activities – 2026/#22
On the track, as well as in rallycross and rallying, the Renault Clio Rally range continued its run of success last weekend with further victories and podium finishes across all disciplines worldwide.
Clio Cup Series
The third meeting of the Clio Cup Series saw Damiano Puccetti and Nicolas Milan emerge victorious after two thrilling races at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours. Whilst the Italian secured his second win of the year and the Frenchman ended a rare dry spell lasting over a year, Alexandre Finkelstein remains atop the general classification. Guillaume Maio also remains at the top of Clio Cup France after sharing the honours with Andreas Stucki beofre the field reaches the halfway point of the season at Mugello (10–12 July).
FIA European Rallycross Championship
Three weeks after winning the inaugural FIA Euro RX4 event, Clio Rally4 confirmed its strong potential in rallycross at the Nyirád Racing Centre. French drivers Andréa Bénézet and Thomas Quincé put in a solid performance at the Hungarian circuit, securing a double podium finish for the model. Thanks to her performance, Andréa Bénézet still leads the championship going into the next round at Höljes in Sweden (3–5 July).
Challenge Clio Rally5 Portugal
The Rally de Lisboa hosted round two of the Portuguese competition dedicated to Clio Rally5. Having finished second at the Rali Terras d’Aboboreira and making his debut at this event, Miguel Carvalho took the win alongside António Reis. Leading from the SS3 onwards, the pair bested the general classification leaders Luís Caetano and David Monteiro by 2.7s. City Stage winners Tiago and Fernando Pereira completed the podium, just 10.2s further back. The next round takes place at Rali de Castelo Branco e Vila Velha de Rodão (19–21 June).
Bulgarian Rally Championship
Clio Rally5 got off to a flying start on the Bulgarian roads of Rally Dryanovo. With four fastest times across six tarmac special stages, Dinko Ivanov and Zhivko Zhelev took victory in the RC5 class ahead of the similar model driven by Petar Yordanov and Lyubka Yordanova. Both crews shone by finishing in the top five overall, beaten only by a trio of Rally2 cars.
Danish Rally Championship
The most represented brand at round three of the Danish calendar, Renault, continued its winning ways at Rally Kjellerup. Carsten Jensen and Michael Fasterholdt were victorious in RC3 aboard Clio Rally3 and also finished runner-up in NRC3. Clio Rally5 triumphed in RC5 on the same special stages, with a sweep of the top nine led by Oliver Sørensen, who competes in the Clio Trophy France Asphalte, and co-driver Claus Amstrup.
Dutch Rally Championship
Renault also triumphed at the ELE Rally, the third round of the season. The event, which doubled as round two of the HEC Clio Rally Trophy, saw Willem Wouter Overbeek and Renaldo Lier secure RC3 honours with Clio Rally3. Meanwhile, Wout Kurstjens and Max Dijkmans claimed victory in the RC5 class on home soil aboard Clio Rally5. Not to be outdone, John Coumans and Aline De Jonge delivered a podium finish in RC4 at the wheel of Clio Rally4.
Lebanese Rally Championship
Clio Rally3 hit the ground running at the Spring Rally, the season opener of the Lebanese championship, monopolising the fastest times in RC3. The model secured a one-two finish with Rhea Dagher - Nadim Abou Elias and Joseph Hindy - Vicken Kanledjian. Clio Rally5 enjoyed similar success on the country’s tarmac roads with the win for the duo of Jason Wehbeh and Andre Mhanna.
Polish Rally Championship
Clio Rally3, which had already won the season opener, doubled its tally at Rajd Nadwiślański. Finishing sixth overall, Michał Chorbiński and Adam Chrzanowski set the fastest times throughout the event to win by more than two minutes ahead of their nearest rivals and extend their championship lead. Sergiusz Janowski and Krzysztof Grzenia also did well to take a class win with Clio Rally4.
Slovakian Rally Championship
Clio Rally5 enjoyed more success in Slovakia with a double at Slovakia Rally Tatry. Stanislav Zeman and Ján Konfal secured their third victory in as many rallies this season. The pair also finished third on the national podium in the two-wheel-drive category, just behind the Clio Rally4 of Tomáš Polovka and Daniel Turcsányi, who finished second in their category and in CEZ3.
Swiss Rally Championship
The range also excelled in round two of the Swiss championship at Rallye du Chablais. Third in the European Rally Trophy’s Junior category, Damien Lovey and Sébastien Derivaz led Renault to victory, securing the top-four places for Clio Rally3 in the RC3. Alain Rey and Estelle Coppex triumphed in RC5 aboard Clio Rally5, whilst Cédric Moulin and Léa Crelier finished on the podium of both RC4 and the Swiss Cup with Clio Rally4.
French Rally Cup
In France, Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 took the top spots in class at Rallye du Val d’Ance, with Gérard Delorme and Sophie Bert, and Alexis Freycenet and Maëva Vendrell. Clio Rally5 also won with Damien Livache and Nans Roux-Laurent at Rallye du Nougat de Montélimar, Drôme Provençale.
On the regional scene, Clio Rally3, Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 all won their respective categories at Rallye des Ardennes with Fabrice Martin - Coralie Darras, Sylvain Fouteret - Guillaume Fouquet, and Jérôme Janny - Héléna Pêcheur. The first two crews impressed by finishing second and fourth overall, respectively. Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 enjoyed the same success at Rallye du Pays Viganais with Gaël Tribouillois - Laëtitia Arnaud and Benoît Serres - Maxime Fougères. Also worth noting are Hugo Mathey and Matthieu Chartier’s class victory with Clio Rally5 at Rallye du Lochois, as well as Jacques-Antoine and Carène Cabrisseau’s podium result with Clio Rally4 at Rallye Madinina.
And elsewhere
In the Belgian Championship Second Division, Thibaud Mazuin and Samuel Maillen took RC3 top honours in Clio Rally3 at the Ardenne Rally Festival. Still in Belgium, Bert Allemeersch and Kris Vandewiele drove Clio Rally5 to victory at the ORC Canal Rally.
In Italy, Alessandro Forneris and Vincenzo Torricelli (Rally5) and Arianna Doriguzzi Breatta and Elena Sica (Women’s) triumphed amongst the 26 Clio Rally5s at the start of the Rally Internazionale del Taro. Clio Rally3 also shone there with a double podium finish thanks to Ernesto Riolo - Giulia Marin and Alessandro Ciardi - Alessandro Tondini, as well as a victory in the Over 55 category with Franco Rossi and Flavio Zanella. Meanwhile, Ettore Maurizio De Salvia and Michele De Cristofaro were victorious in Clio Rally5 at Rally Cista del Gargano.
Across the Atlantic, Clio Rally4 impressed with five fastest times in CODASUR4, including the Power Stage, for the Uruguayan duo Luigi Contin and Cecilia Cedrés at round three of the FIA CODASUR Championship at the Rally del Guairá (Paraguay).
Lastly, Martin and František Končal took class honours in their Clio Rally5 at the Lak Racing Rallye Plzeň in the Czech Republic Rallysprint Championship, whilst Eduard Tuneu Ullastre and Joan Soler Mulet did the same in the Rally Empordà in the Catalan Championship. The model also secured a class podium finish with Manuel Schneider and Marcel Eichenauer at the RSC Rallye Wartburg (Germany).
