A successful debut for Mika Rasoamaromaka, new winners in Clio Trophy France Terre and Clio Trophy Galicia, and overall win in Greece. The pace is picking up, and Renault Clio continues to rack up successes across Europe !

French Rally Champioship

Winners of last year’s Clio Trophy France Terre, Mika Rasoamaromaka and Mélissa Declerck launched their official campaign in style with Clio Rally3 at Rallye Castine Terre d’Occitanie. The Fun Meca Sport crew led their class from SS2 and won nine of twelve special stages, finishing more than a minute ahead of their rivals. The Madagascan and French duo led a top-five sweep for the model on their debut and impressively finished ninth overall, despite over 20 Rally2 cars at the start.

Clio Rally3 also continued its unbeaten streak in the GT2i CFRT FFSA Trophy by securing the top four positions. Guillaume Tardy and Caroline Puel took victory ahead of Sylvain and Mathieu Tamisier, while Daniel and Clémence Favy completed the podium.

Clio Trophy France Terre

Launched in 2021, the Clio Trophy France Terre opened its sixth season at Rallye Castine Terre d’Occitanie with one certainty : a new name would join the winners’ list.

While Alexandre Brossy and Sébastien Enjalbert monopolised first place on Saturday, Julien Malta and Jorian Ponomareff fought back the following day, built momentum and took the lead in the penultimate special stage when their rivals suffered a double puncture. Finishing fifth in the two-wheel drive category, the Sarrazin Motorsport crew secured the trophy on their debut by 14.1s over Alexandre Brossy and Sébastien Enjalbert. Loïc Sanchez and Hervé Lapeyre completed the podium.

With the win and Jean Ragnotti’s Performer points, Julien Malta leads the general classification by 12 points ahead of the next round at Rallye Terre des Causses (3-5 April).

Julien Malta : "We weren’t expecting this result at all. The preparation was quite intense to get the car sorted, and the team did a remarkable job to get everything ready in time. Given the circumstances, our goal was to finish. Saturday mainly gave us the opportunity to get to grips with Clio Rally5 and gradually regain our feel for the car after several years away from racing. A few minor setbacks prevented us from building our rally as we would have liked. After a few adjustments, we set off again on Sunday with a different mindset, as if it were a new start. Jorian was perfect, the car performed very well, and I felt more relaxed, which led to several fastest stage times. We deliberately avoided doing the maths so as not to put ourselves under pressure and to stay focused until the end. Rally driving is always special to me, regardless of the car, but Clio Rally5 is really enjoyable. I loved its chassis, stability, efficiency at high-revs and it is also easy to handle. It reminded me of my early days and is the ideal choice for enjoying myself and performing well on my return to competition."

Clio Trophy Galicia

The Clio Trophy Galicia also launched its new campaign on the special stages of Rali do Cocido. Newcomer to the service park of the competition reserved for Clio Rally5, Miguel Gayoso immediately took the lead with co-driver Carlos Guitián. The crew maintained their lead to the finish, winning by 23.8s over Marco Lorenzo and José Ángel Fente, with Álvaro Pérez and Paula de Carvalho on the podium. The next round takes place at Rallye de Pontevedra on 5 and 6 June.

Italian Gravel Rally Championship

A new season also began on the Italian national scene at Rally Città di Foligno. Competing in a Clio Rally3, Ennio Bini and Fabio Rinaldi climbed onto the podium in Rally3 to claim second place in the championship in their class. Clio Rally5 did even better with a podium lockout led by Manuele Stella and Sara Refondini.

French Rally Cup

During an intense weekend in France, Clio Rally3, Clio Rally5, and Clio Rally6 triumphed at Rallye de la Vienne with Bastien Paquereau - Amaury Auzou, Hugo Mathey - Matthieu Chartier, and Alexandre Moreira - Camille Guillon. At Rallye de Haute-Provence, Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 set the pace with David Sauvaigo - Stéphane Marquez and Romain Bertrand - Bastien Massé, while Clio Rally6 secured a podium finish with Laurent Gonzales and Caroline Simon in FR6.

On the regional scene, Renault took a triple victory at Rallye Baldomérien with Gérard Delorme - Sophie Bert (Rally3), Baptiste Portier - Mathilde Viceriat (Rally4), and Christophe Monnin - Marc-Émilien Choudey (Rally5). Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 triumphed at Rallye du Pays Avallonnais with Mickaël Caritey, Pauline Chonavel, Fabien Fayette, and Charlotte Buliard. The same models claimed wins at Rallye di u Paese Aiaccinu : Thomas Pittilloni - Alexis Gomes for Rally3, and Anthony Dominici - Christophe Andreani for Rally5. Clio Rally5 also succeeded at Rallye de Bonaguil thanks to Axel Guibert and Michaël Murzeau, as well as at Rallye du Pays de Caux with François and Tom Thoretton.

German Rally Cup

The ADAC Rallye Kempenich kicked off the 2026 edition of the Deutscher Rallye Cup. Felix Schumann and Gino Kruhs drove their Clio Rally4 to a podium finish in their class and fifth place overall on the asphalt roads of Rhineland-Palatinate. Tim Wacker and Luca Kiefer, in their Clio Rally5, led a sweep of the top five in RC5.

Greek Gravel Rally Cup

Held near Athens, the Rally Sprint Attikis marked the start of the Greek Gravel Rally Cup. Clio Rally3 won the first edition of the event with Cypriot driver Panikos Polykarpou and his Greek co-driver George Votsis. Immediately finding their pace, the duo then avoided the pitfalls in the final special stage to set the fastest time overall and snatch victory from a Rally2 crew.

And elsewhere

In Germany, Clio Rally3 set the pace with Edmund Weigert and Gertrud Rottner at the ADMV Rallye Lutherstadt Wittenberg, as well as with Manuel Wurm and Markus Pötscher at the ADAC SFG Rallyesprint Trostberg.

Building on these successes, the model secured further podium finishes with Yiangos Yiangou and Panagiotis Georgiou at the Tulip Rally (Cyprus) and Simon Decru and Filip Decru at Rallye de Hannut (Belgium). In the latter event, Clio Rally4 also won with John Coumans and Aline De Jonge, while Clio Rally5 secured another podium finish with Johan Cuyvers and Loïc Dumont.

Success continued as Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 were also victorious, with Paola Fedi – Alessandro Massaro (Rally3 and Women’s) and Luca Fagni - Asia Fagni (Rally5) winning at Rally Montecatini Terme e Valdinievole (Italy). In addition, Clio Rally5 secured a podium finish in P2-4 with André Freitas and Agostinho Bettencourt at the Rampa Regional da Ponta do Sol (Portugal).
