A new title in Peru and victories in France, Italy, Spain, and Turkey : the successes continued for the Clio Rally’s four variants this weekend !
Peruvian Rally Championship
Rally Valle del Mantaro, the final round of the Peruvian Rally Championship, was contested on both tarmac and gravel stages. Jhonathan and Diego Garay’s Clio Rally5 twice beat Horacio Cánepa and Ricardo Figueroa on the demanding course. Thanks to this performance, the #811 crew regained the Rally5 title, two years after their last national crown.
Turkish Rally Championship
The Kocaeli Rallisi hosted the seventh and final round of the Turkish calendar. Daghan Ünlüdogan and Aras Dinçer secured a RC3 podium finish in RC3 and a top-five overall finish on the gravel stages in their Clio Rally3. Already crowned national champion in RC5 before the final round, Ugur Kaban secured another class victory for Clio Rally5 and third place in the two-wheel drive category with co-driver Mert Kaya.
French Rally Cup
Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 won their classes with David Boissenin − Arthur Pelamourgues and Dylan Bechet − Dorian Rousseau at Rallye Hivernal du Dévoluy, where Jérôme Bonnefoy and Cédric Gerber secured a podium place in their Clio Rally4. The same success was achieved at the Rallye de Pont-l’Évêque with Dany Richard Hoarau and Thomas Chauffray (Clio Rally3), Hugo Dénié and Enzo Ravinet (Clio Rally5), and Fabien Drouet and Théo Pallu (Clio Rally6). Lastly, the Clio Rally5 of Bruno Vingadassamy and Jill Brumier won their class at Rallye Karukera in Guadeloupe.
And elsewhere
Baptiste Ghipponi (Clio Rally3), Julien Solanet (Clio Rally4) and Julien Ingrassia (Clio Rally5) were the fastest in their respective cars at the Cévennes Race Track Rally in France.
In Italy, Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 won with Andrea Bartarelli − Martina Fresolone and Matteo Corti − Cristian Pollini at Rally della Fettunta, while Clio Rally4 secured a podium finish and a top ten overall result with Paolo Moricci and Carlotta Dallai. The transalpine special stages also saw Emmanuele D’Angelo and Paolo Celi lead Clio Rally5 to victory in its class and sixth place overall in Rally del Barocco Ibleo.
In Spain, Clio Rally5 set the pace in its group with Miguel Gayoso and Carlos Guitián at Rally Cangas, which hosted the seventh and final round of the Asturias Rally Championship.
