Join us in a look back at a year full of intensity and emotions for Renault Sport.
24 January : At the Monte-Carlo Rally, Michaël Burri wins the Clio R3T European Trophy finale, and was rewarded with a season in WRC3.
3 February : The creation of Renault Sport Racing and Renault Sport Cars, a return to F1 with the Renault Sport Formula One Team : the framework of the sporting commitment is outlined by Carlos Ghosn during a press conference organized in Viry-Châtillon.
16 March : Renault Sport Formula One Team unveils the definitive livery of its R.S.16 in an over the top video, where the car and its drivers appear on a giant surfboard !
1er May : Seventh in the Russian Grand Prix at Sochi, Kevin Magnussen scores the best result of the season for the Renault Sport Formula One Team.
27 May : A concept car bringing together the technological savoir-faire of Renault Sport, the Clio R.S.16 is unveiled in Monaco and Kevin Magnussen is only too happy to put in a few laps with it on the circuit !
23 June : The must do event for enthusiasts, the Goodwood Festival of Speed welcomes several new cars, among them being the sassy Twingo GT° !
3 July : While Nicolas Prost takes his second victory in the streets of London, Sébastien Buemi and Renault win the Driver and Teams titles in season 2 of Formula E.
26 September : At Spa-Francorchamps, Englishman Lando Norris becomes the youngest laureate of the ’Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0. On this same weekend, Robert Kubica competes in the Renault Sport Trophy at the commands of the R.S.01.
9 October : Following the summer break, season 3 of Formula E kicks off in Hong-Kong. From the outset, Sébastien Buemi takes the victory in the Renault Z.E.16.
14 October : At the Paris Motor Show, the day dedicated to sport sees a large crowd of enthusiasts at the Renault stand. Joylon Palmer and Nicholas Prost take a very close and interest look at the New Clio R.S, equipped with the revolutionary R.S Vision lighting system.
9 November : After announcing the signing of Nico Hülkenberg a few weeks earlier, the Renault Sport Formula One Team announces its resigning of Joylon Palmer for 2017.
